DANS DANS LISA Releases New Single And Music Video

It has been more than two years since the release of their debut album, and now 2013 finally sees the return of PTA-based band, DANS DANS LISA with a brand new single and music video for their track, KOM ONS SING.
DDL chose KOM ONS SING as the first single from their new album, set for release around March this year, because it is notably different from their previous work and sets the tone for their new album.
“I was working with the thought of how it could sometimes be more meaningful to sing to/about someone in order to express, evoke and know your feelings than it is to just rush into kissing them; as rushing it would sometimes rob the seemingly intimate act of its very intimacy.” - Deon Meiring.
The music video was shot and directed by Regardt Botha and Damiane van Reenen from Blimpfilms. Bouwer Bosch proposed that DDL do a storyline video and came up with the concept which grew into a mini movie of sorts.
Seeing as KOM ONS SING is more serious than any of DDL’s previous singles, they wanted to specifically emphasize that in the video.
“Let's just say that it's a story involving two contrasting guys and a girl, but probably not in the way that you'd normally expect from DDL. We've always had a more serious side to our music; this time round we're just allowing it to take the lead. Hopefully fans will find it exhilarating and we'd like to surprise a bit as well.”

DANS DANS LISA just finished recording their second album, PYL & BOOG, set for release around March this year. KOM ONS SING sets the tone genre-wise for the new album, but fans can also look forward to more upbeat songs, some fun DDL ideas and also a shift on the instrumental side which will feature piano and more attention to percussion.
